Sat, 29 December 2007 After a long, and knitful holiday, the girls are back with a show recorded just before Christmas. We're sneaky that way, see. In this episode: Four rules for dating the misses, a lot of holiday sticking, and a scintillating discussion about world economics. Or at least two of those. We also yap about the results of Lime's home visit by the ghosthunters, and talk about why V will never, ever be mistaken for a cowgirl. We revisit some of the highpoints in the L&V journey (and a few lowpoints -- I mean, eeeegh....hairy moley man....), too. Music is by Worm Quartet, and is called "Hair on my Soap", which is probably funny only to us, given that that's one of the reasons Turtleboy gave for breaking up with Miss Lime. No, seriously. Only that was a hair from her *head*, while she was IN THE SHOWER WITH HIM. (Insert eye-roll from V here...) Red flags abound. Post forthcoming for those of you not on Ravelry yet with a picture of the famed Sexy Turkey Hat (which, by the way, YES, the FIL WORE TO CHURCH. V's going to get a cramp in her eyes from all the rolling they're doing tonight.). Thank you for a wonderful fifty episodes, folks. We wouldn't have done it without you. ---Ms. V Comments[0] |
Fri, 21 December 2007 A special holiday episode for you and yours (though probably not for the kiddies...this IS Lime & Violet after all...), from all of us here at the L&V Headquarters of Doomy doom doom. Artists played in this special musical episode: The Limeybirds, "Christmas Song" and "Charity's Wish" Don't Hug Me, "Christmas Cheese Polka" Tom Smith, "A Pirate Christmas" Rad Dudes, "Christmas in Malibu" The High Balls, "A Fistful of We Three Kings" Santa Claus (no, seriously), "Sick of Christmas" The Alice Project, "Regifting" Cookie Cutter Girl, "Ham for the Holidays" Gary Sundblad, "Ya You Betcha" Bubble, "Christmas Here on Mars" Robert Lund, "Nothin' But Spam" and the mammoth one, The Great Luke Ski, "Fanboy Christmas II: The Wrath of Claus" Happy knitting, and happiest of holidays. :) (p.s. I couldn't find ANY good hannukah songs. I tried. They were either too dirty for even OUR delicate sensibilities, or...well...they kinda sucked. Sorry, y'all who are knitting for the festival of lights rather than the big birthday.) Download it here: or get it from iTunes! ---the lime and violet team o' santas Comments[0] |
Fri, 14 December 2007 With the addition of the lovely GoddessGwen the SoundChick to our staff of <s>minions</s>...er...<I>valued employees</I>, another episode of L&V is ready for your download. It was SUPPOSED to be a mini-episode to tide y'all over until the Big Fiftieth Episode, but V got yappy. She does that. Carin's back, and we chat about letterboxing, Pink Commandos and Drag Queens, and answer the burning question of whether or not Ninja Bunnies' shuriken smell like carrots. We show off some socky goodness on ebay and bust some teenagers gettin' bizzeee in a parking lot, and offer some holiday cheer by rayko/KRB entitled "The 12 Strippers of Christmas" just for your holiday pleasure. No pun intended. Our big 50th episode with Lime will be up next week. Thank you all for sticking with our own particular brand of Crazy for this long. We loves you. ---v Comments[0] |
Mon, 10 December 2007 Aaaaand, we're back! This time, Lime talks about what she's knitting (Violet skips hers since this episode was recorded literally one day after the last episode, making it pretty much a moot knitting point to discuss the same thing as the day before.), the girls yap about fiber, and magic buttons. Violet shares the meaning of true love, involving clippers, and Lime shares her haunted mansion. We'll have links to the two books we review when the show notes go live, too. (<span style="font-style:italic;">The Best of Interweave Knits</span> and <span style="font-style:italic;">Folk Bags</span>, if you're wanting to find them sooner.) We'll be back next week with Carin in the copilot's seat, and *hopefully* back on a semi-weekly schedule after the holidays. (Violet is knitting as fast as she can, after deciding to handmake a few gifts, and you all understand about the Crazy that IS holiday knittin'.) Song is by our favorites, Possible Oscar, and is called "This is how we recycle". Sorry in advance for getting it stuck in your head. Again. love and cookies, --v Comments[0] |
