Thu, 28 June 2007 Aaaaaand, we're back! This time, Carin sits in for Lime, who is apparently travelling around the world and back, missing Eliza's birthday. See how she is? We still don't have Knitter's Connection footage, due to Eliza(Violet)'s insane computer memory, and there is much by way of dog panting. Also, Carin waves her geek flag AND fits into tiny sweaters, plus finds out what happens when good dogs attack balls. Eliza laments pattern errata, discusses yarn binging on a GINORMOUS scale, and admits to a little problem with sniffing yarn. Listen to this episode here, by clicking on that little button at the top of the post, or subscribe on iTunes! Before we list up the books we talk about this episode, I also want to mention that it was a little late when we found out about Annie Modesitt's pattern for a very worthy cause, and we didn't get to talk about it, but suffice it to say that it's a gorgeous pattern and worth every penny of the cost, plus about a zillion dollars. So if you have a heart, go read and buy one or ten. And visit the blog outpourings of Annielove. She completely deserves it. The books from this episode include: Changing Patterns, by Wren Ross about creativity and a fiber life <A HREF+'http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1863513582?ie=UTF8&tag=dreamdeep&link_code=as3&camp=211189&creative=373489&creativeASIN=1863513582"> FreeFORMations, by Jenne Dowde which is the ultimate how-to for freeform knit & crochet and Unexpected Knitting, by Debbie New which has totally changed the way we're looking at knitting. Unfortunately, the new Prudence Mapstone book isn't on Amazon yet, but once we find a good link, we'll pass it along. oh, and an update: Since this was recorded, we got the news that the shop is a go. This will make much more sense when you listen to the episode. AND we have two other big announcements in the very near future. Sorry it's been so long, y'all -- now that June's over, we can get back to the business of business as usual! Expect new episodes on Thursdays from here on out for a while, and we'll serve 'em up weekly. Missed you! ---v/eliza (does Veliza sound kind of Star Warsish to anyone else?) Comments[0] |
Sat, 2 June 2007 New show up! This week, it's a little later in the week when we recorded, since next week, we'll be LIVE at Knitter's Connection and won't be uploading that show until the week AFTER we get back. The good news is that there will be two shows instead of just one. Squee! That said, this week, the Misses yammer a bit about the knitting, invent a new weekly meme (seriously -- don't do it. Just...please.), and with some help from Alcariel, make the dogs moan. No weasels were harmed in the making of this podcast. Get it here or subscribe for weekly delivery via iTunes! --v Comments[0] |
